Jill sadly passed away on 20th November, 2024. She had travelled with her husband John to Windsor Boys' School in 1972, then moved to Krefeld in 1979 and then Kaiserlautern in the Platz in 1981 where she was Head of Infants and John's Deputy in the two-teacher primary school. After that time teaching together they moved to Wildenrath before Jill was posted to Geilenkirchen School. John and Jill had been married for 54 years and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends
Your chairman was saddened to hear the news of David Greenwood's passing ealier this month. David was known to many from his service in Gibraltar, Berlin and Detmold, where he was headteacher of Sir John Mogg School. Our thoughts are with Linda and sons Thomas and Simon. A fuller appreciation will follow.
David's funeral will be held at South Oxfordshire Crematorium, Garford, Abingdon, OX13 5PA at 1100 on Wednesday 22nd January.
Jean Allen (née Cotterell) taught at BFES Cologne from 1954 to 1958 and lived in the Mess in the Volkspark.
Herbert (Bert) Anderson died peacefully at his home in Sydney, Australia on 23rd July 2022, aged 86 years, after a battle with Parkinson's Disease.
A member since 1981, George Andrew, died peacefully in his sleep on February 8th 2022, aged 90 years. George was comfortable and happy in St Monica's Trust in Bristol, in the same city as his daughter Christine; Mark, his son, visited him regularly from Australia.

25th December 2017Martin taught Maths at King’s School Gutersloh in the 1970s and 1980s. He is survived by his wife Janice who arrived at King’s at about the same time to teach Biology.
