In 2024 the UK's Ministry of Defence education service, operating as Defence Children's Services (DCS), maintains schools and/or early-years' settings in nine countries and territories. These are Germany (2 schools) and Cyprus (5 schools), with one school each in Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Brunei and the Falkland Islands. In Gibraltar and Canada (Alberta) DCS maintains early-years' settings only.
