2025 Berlin Tour: 29th Sept to 3rd October

A cultural tour of Berlin, focusing in particular on the event following WW2 and leading up to the cold war and the breaking up of Berlin into the different sections. As many members served in Berlin or visited the city during their time in Germany, it was an opportunity to see how the city had changed since the BFES schools established in Berlin were closed.

In September 2023, 25 ex-teachers representing all the schools in Malta, visited the island to celebrate the 50 years since most of them went to Malta after the forced withdrawal in of British servicemen 1972.

The event was held on Friday 9th September at The Abbey Hotel, Malvern, WR14 3ET, followed by an Association Lunch.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting, at the foot of the Malvern Hills immediately adjacent to the Priory Church and the Malvern Festival Theatre buildings.

More than 50 members and guests enjoyed a great curry (thank you, Bhindia) in an excellent venue. Thank you, Jane Tull for organising the day and liason with the venue, Tom Nielsen-Marsh for printing menues and table notes, Christine and Hugh Ritchie for members' list and geographical notes.
