Jude Hartley, an ex-pupil of Bill Johnson's, has sadly died aged just 68. Despite her diagnosis of cancer, she continued to enjoy her life, as this photograph shows - it was taken on a trip to Singapore to remember happy school days and Jude is standing outside the married quarters where she lived with her parents.
Clive Hughes
12th January 2025Sadly, Carol Jones has informed us of the passing of Clive Hughes on 12th January 2025 aged 83 years. He and his wife Judith both taught at Edinburgh School in Munster during the 1970s. Their three children all attended Edinburgh School.
It is with profound sadness that the Association learned of the of former BFES-SECA Association Chair and President of the NAHT, John Tate.
Ron Taylor was the former Headteacher of St Patrick’s School in Rheindahlen. He died after a long battle with cancer which he endured with great optimism and positivity.
Hylton Thomas OBE who was a Deputy Head at King's School from 1976 – 1982 sadly died on the 9th October, aged 74, after a short illness.
Linda Thompson
2018Linda worked in Bielefeld, Hong Kong, Brunei and Cyprus. Linda had retired to Cyprus.
Jill sadly passed away on 20th November, 2024. She had travelled with her husband John to Windsor Boys' School in 1972, then moved to Krefeld in 1979 and then Kaiserlautern in the Platz in 1981 where she was Head of Infants and John's Deputy in the two-teacher primary school. After that time teaching together they moved to Wildenrath before Jill was posted to Geilenkirchen School. John and Jill had been married for 54 years and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends
David Tull, husband of long-serving committee member, Jane, died shortly after our AGM in September. David had suffered from poor health for some time and was a little short of his 85th birthday.
