  • Jude Hartley

    Jude Hartley, an ex-pupil of Bill Johnson's, has sadly died aged just 68.  Despite her diagnosis of cancer, she continued to enjoy her life, as this photograph shows - it was taken on a trip to Singapore to remember happy school days and Jude is standing outside the married quarters where she lived with her parents.

    Sadly, Carol Jones has informed us of the passing of Clive Hughes on 12th January 2025 aged 83 years.  He and his wife Judith both taught at Edinburgh School in Munster during the 1970s. Their three children all attended Edinburgh School.

    Cameron Laing reported the sad news of his father's passing on 31st October 2024.  Charles was a friend to many who met him at Tal Handaq in Malta and Gutersloh in Germany, and will be remembered for his love of sports and his friendly and caring attitude throughout his life.

    Pat Law (née Bower), was a member of staff at Tal Handaq School, Malta. She was also the wife of Captain Mike Law.. She died peacefully but unexpectedly at the age of 95 on 20th July, 2023.

    We have heard from Brian Davies that Ken Leighton, deputy headteacher of Windsor Boys' School, Hamm and closing headteacher of Windsor School (Hamm) has died.  His son posted the news on The Windsor Boys' School, Hamm, Facebook page.

    A Thanksgiving service was held on 3rd August at St. Eustachius Church, Tavistock for the life of Jecky Loeffler who sadly died on July 15th after a short illness.

    Mary Looseley passed away in March this year. She is survived by her husband Keith. Mary taught from 1969 to 1975 in various schools in Germany. She lived in Huntly in Scotland.
