Obituary: Eddie Martin

Eddie Martin, headteacher at Dalton Middle School through 1980s and early 1990s, died on 4^th October in Düsseldorf. Eddie was born in Liverpool in 1940 and had remained in Germany, moving from BFES/SCS to Düsseldorf International School (ISD). After retirement, Eddie lived in Düsseldorf with his wife Roswitha. They had one child, Sarah and a grandchild, Joe.

Sue Adams and Wally both remember Eddie as headteacher at Dalton and as a charming and delightful colleague at Headteacher Conferences. Tom Nielsen-Marsh recalls that Eddie was an avid collector of 'Swatch' watches. Eddie had suffered a stroke in 2022.
