Notes

St David's, JHQ, existed between before 1957, being built as part of Rheindahlen's Joint Headquarters (JHQ) for the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR).

An entry in St David's log-book by Mr RC Ford records him taking over the headship of St David's Junior School on 13th May 1957 and noting that no previous log-book could be found.  In the sequential surviving log-book, HT Charles McNulty records closing the school on 25th July 1974, when it amalgamated with St Andrew's to form an all-through primary using St Andrew's building.  Charles McNulty became HT of the 'new' St Andrew's. Prior to this, St Andrew's had been an infant school in a mirror-building immediately to the east, on Otto-Schmalbruch Strasse.  After St David's closure, St Patrick's primary moved from its previous location (a few hundred meters to the east) into the former St David's building.

St Patrick's and St Andrew's then ran side by side until both closed in 2010, to be amalgamated into one school (Ark) which operated across both former sites.  Ark closed along with JHQ in 2013.
