| Notes Kabrit is first mentioned in the "Coronation List". This is a schedule of schools that existed in 1952. The exact location of the school and when it opened/closed are not known. The pin shows the location of the former RAF Kabrit now an Egyptian Base called El Kibrit. | |
After WW2 Kabrit remained a RAF station hosting transport squadrons. This continued until the breakdown in relations between the British and Egyptian governments in 1956, when the decision was taken to pull out British forces from the Suez Canal Zone.
