An image of the front of the school taken somewhat covertly in 1980....two decades of decay since the British Army left the complex.

This was the main Primary School for children of the British Garrison at Kahawa, North of Nairobi, situated off the Thika Road.

Two accompanied Resident Infantry Battalions were posted there until Kenyan Independence in 1963......2nd Battalion Scots Guards and 1st Battalion Staffordshire Regiment.

Garrison was part of 12 Bde with Units at Lanet to the North and RAF Eastleigh West of Nairobi.

Headmaster there was Mr Shaw.
