It would appear that there was an Infant school in the same area which was inspected prior to the Junior school.

David Arden adds some additional information:
An interesting situation arose at this time. I was sent to Highgate Hill after closing Dorset School, Kluang to complete my final year of my tour.
Shortly after arriving we were told the school would be closing in July 1971 in line with many of the schools in the Far East.
This seemed strange, as there was no British Garrison in K.L. and the parents,of which there were many, were either Service personnel seconded to the three branches of the Malaysian Forces, British High Commission, British Council, Australian High Commission or British subjects working for British firms based in and around K.L.

However, we were all given onward postings with the exception of the Head,Tom Rees, who was fifty and had to leave SCEA and one teacher whose husband was an officer in the Malaysian Air Force.
Eventually someone in Singapore realised that all the children would still be there in July 1971 and would not be leaving.
Tom Rees was asked if he would stay on and was delighted to accept and likewise the local teacher>
However the rest of us had our fill of the Far East climate, so Tom was faced with a virtually completely new staff in September!
I don't know when the school did finally close.
