Location: Barnes Wallis

Barnes Wallis was one of two First schools created in RAF Brüggen in 1974..........marked above with the green spot.

The other school was named Bader.

Barnes Wallis used the buildings of the original Brüggen school and new premises were built for Bader.

With the reductions brought about by "Options for Change", it was decided in 1995 to close Barnes Wallis School.

However, the premises occupied by the surviving school, Bader, were causing significant problems and so Bader school moved into the premises of Barnes Wallis.

Bader School (in the former Barnes Wallis premises) reverted to the original name, Brüggen school, in the early 2000s when the RAF departed Germany.
